Finnglass UK is the leading supplier of Heated Glass in the UK. We have been specialising in the specification and supply of Heated Glass for over three years and have a wide variety of installations across the UK. From Conservatory to Mansion our portfolio demonstrates vast experience. We are currently working on several 'super homes', including swimming pool installations and acoustic PVB heated glass projects. This area will be updated accordingly.
Prestbury – Conservatory
Since Finnglass UK introduced Heated Glass to the UK the glass has now been widely used in many applications. One of our earlier Heated Glass installations in the UK was a conservatory in Prestbury, Cheshire. Heated Glass was used here as the primary heat source for the extension. The occupants commented this was the ‘warmest room in the house’ during the bitter 2009/10 winter.

Cheshire – Veranda
In this project we supplied the new Ultraframe 'Veranda' complete with self cleaning heated glass – this was the first installation of its kind in the UK. Its 2.5kw Finnglass system provides directional radiant heat in the winter and an additional antisun coating keeps the structure cool in the summer.

Tyrell Street – 9 x Studio apartments, Social Housing
Another Installation of Heated Glass in the UK is our Tyrell Street Social Housing project in Leicester. Again the glass was used here as the primary and only heat source for the project. The Glass was chosen for this project due to the cost saving advantages of using Heated Glass. The cost savings that can be made by heating a home with heated glass as opposed to conventional gas systems can be as high as 50% in comparison with gas central heating systems. Please go to “about us” then "Benefits" for more information. The project received a Code level 4 accreditation under the code for sustainable housing.

Bryn Refail – 1920’s Church Conversion
Another project in which Heated Glass has been used in the UK is the Brynrefail Church Conversion. Heated glass was installed into a Listed Building and again was used as the primary heat source. This refurbishment was shortlisted for both best conversion and reached the final of best eco build under the Northern Design awards 2010 where it lost against the 172 apartment Greenhouse development in Leeds.

Eastern Revive Restaurant – Wilmslow
Heated Glass has been installed in a number of commercial applications in the UK. The first Installation was the Eastern Revive Restaurant in Wilmslow. Here the restaurant hit the news with reporters focusing on the Heat provided by both the curry and the glass. Heated Glass was installed into each of the window frames at the front and rear of the restaurant. Furthermore, 2 large Heated Glass Radiators were also fitted towards the back of the restaurant in order to ensure a the room could be heated solely with FGUK Heated Glass. The restaurant has seen a huge increase in custom, especially over the winter and we are currently installing a heated glass conservatory extension to help cope with increased demand.
